I've never done yoga, where should I start?

If you check out our Class Descriptions page you'll find the perfect fit that's just right for your wants and needs!

I want to take class, do I need to pre-register online?

It’s recommended to ensure your space in class, especially on busy days like Saturdays and Sundays! However, if you pre-register and are late to class, we will allow those waitlisted to enter one minute after the allotted time. Doors will be locked 1-2 minutes after class begins so as not to disturb other students in the class.

What should I wear? What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothes. You want something you will be able to really move in rather than feeling constricted.

Please bring:

  • a mat if you have one, but we do have rental mats for $2.

  • a water bottle, but we also have bottles of water for $2 in case you forget.

  • socks if you prefer (yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot).

What if I'm pregnant, can I still do yoga?

Absolutely! What classes can you do? It depends how long you've been doing yoga, and how far along you are. We have a prenatal class series that you can find here. If it's not currently being offered, you may be able to do a beginner yoga or Hatha yoga (early pregnancy) class. Some key items to keep in mind is that you should not lay on your spine once you've reached 20 weeks, take wider stances when in standing positions to aide in your balance and pelvic positioning, only open twists, and no deep compression in the hip flexor. Arrive 15 minutes early to your first class to go over some modifications with your instructor. You should consultant with your physician beforehand.

What do you offer for seniors, children, and special needs?

We've got it all covered, as we mentioned yoga IS for everyone! We offer Chair Yoga for Seniors, Kids Yoga, and Special Needs classes. If it's not on our current schedule, contact us and we will recommend a class for you!

Do you have childcare?

During many of our classes, we offer childcare in what we call the Mini Buddha room. Our lovely employees at the front desk will watch your child/children while you take your class. The minimum age for Mini Buddha is 6-weeks!

Can I take a class if I'm injured or have a physical limitation?

If you feel as though your injury could prevent you from doing poses safely, we recommend you consult a doctor first. Otherwise, please communicate your injury to the instructor before class and join us. It's important to listen to your body and honor the healing period, which yoga can absolutely aid in. Restorative Yoga is a format that is accessible even if you do have injuries or limitations.  Feel free to check our our class descriptions.

I’m not flexible. Can I still do yoga?

One hundred percent, yes! Being flexible is not a prerequisite. Instructors offer progressions and modifications, which is why all levels are welcome in our studio space.

We become flexible from doing yoga. Not the other way around.

Is there a weight limit on the silks for Aerial Yoga?

The silks that we use for our Aerial Yoga classes have a weight limit of 250lbs.

Do class packages expire?

Yes! All class packages expire 90 days after purchase. No need to worry, we are constantly offering great specials for you! Please check social media, email, or in-studio for our latest specials.

Can my class pack be extended?

We normally don’t allow class pack extensions unless for serious circumstances such as an injury, serious illness, or family emergencies. We are constantly offering great specials that you can take advantage of if your class pack expires!
