I want to take class, do I need to pre-register online?
It’s recommended to ensure your space in class, especially on busy days like Saturdays and Sundays!
If you pre-register and are late to class, we will allow those waitlisted to enter one minute after the allotted time.
Doors will be locked 1-2 minutes after class begins so as not to disturb other students in the class and to properly watch over our Mini-Buddha’s.
What should I wear? What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothes. You want something you will be able to really move in rather than feeling constricted.
a mat if you have one, but we do have rental mats for $2.
a water bottle, but we also have bottles of water for $2 in case you forget.
socks if you prefer (yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot).
What if I'm pregnant, can I still do yoga?
Absolutely! What classes can you do? It depends how long you've been doing yoga, and how far along you are.
Make sure to check with your doctor! You may be able to do a Beginner Yoga or Hatha Yoga (early pregnancy) class.
Some key items to keep in mind: Limit the time laying on your spine once you've reached 20 weeks, take wider stances when in standing positions to aide in your balance and pelvic positioning, only open twists, and no deep compression in the hip flexor.
Arrive 15 minutes early to your first class to go over some modifications with your instructor. He or she will be happy to personally guide you.
What do you offer for seniors, children, and special needs?
We've got it all covered. As we mentioned, yoga is for EVERYONE! We offer Chair Yoga for Seniors, Kids Yoga, and Special Needs classes. If it's not on our current schedule, contact us and we will recommend a class for you!
Do you have childcare?
During most of our classes, we offer childcare: our Mini Buddha room. Our lovely employees at the front desk will watch your child/children while you take your class. The minimum age for Mini Buddha is 6-weeks!
Please pre-register as we only allow 10 kids at a time to ensure total safety, (and your comfort in class!)
Can I take a class if I'm injured or have a physical limitation?
If you feel as though your injury could prevent you from doing poses safely, we recommend you consult a doctor first. Otherwise, please communicate your injury to the instructor before class and join us. It's important to listen to your body and honor the healing period. Restorative Yoga is a format not only accessible with injuries or limitations, but healing, relaxing, and truly amazing.
I’m not flexible. Can I still do yoga?
One hundred percent Y E S! Being flexible is absolutely not a prerequisite. Instructors offer progressions and modifications to allow all body types.
We become flexible from doing yoga. Not the other way around.
Is there a weight limit on the silks for Aerial Yoga?
The silks that we use for our Aerial Yoga classes have a weight limit of 250lbs. You’ll find our silks at our newest studio, Revival Air Barre!
